Join us for a plein air painting adventure!
This meeting is a paint-out event! Bring your portable paint gear and discover the joys of painting outside!
GCWS member Adele DiMinno is an award-winning artist who paints outdoors regularly. She is our Plein Air Coordinator and a valued resource in providing expert guidance of what to bring and what to do in the field.
This event is for members only. If you are a member, you will be contacted with event details and to sign up.
As Adele says ...
Here is my set-up which except for the chairs can be carried in a backpack:
- A camp chair
- Umbrella folding chair
- Brushes in a folding compact
- Paint in folding pallett
- Water container – mine fits into the drink holder on the chair
- Water
- Small sketch pad, pencils, charcoal, whatever you prefer
- Watercolor block
- Paper towels
- Phone/camera
Also you might want to bring:
- Water or a drink for yourself
- Snack
- Brimmed hat
- Sunscreen
- Bug repellent
- A viewfinder (or you could use your hands)
- Umbrella
