Monthly Member Meetings

Member meetings are held on alternating Wednesdays and Saturdays, 12 months a year.  Meetings consist of a time to socialize before a brief business meeting followed by an artist demonstration, educational program, painting party or excursion.  Check our Calendar of Events for more details!

Exhibitions

The Society hosts an all-member annual show judged by a watercolor artist of distinction and standing. The top three winners receive cash prizes. Honorable mentions are also awarded.

Workshops

The Society sponsors at least one workshop per year, in-person and by video conferencing, with open enrollment. Member fees are discounted.

Enhanced Visibility of your Artwork

Members’ artwork may be shown on the Society website and social media pages as part of its publicity efforts. The artwork of the top three annual show winners is displayed in a slideshow on the website for a year with links to their own websites or social media pages.

Communications and Resources

Members receive emails and reminders about events, exhibitions, and activities. Members also have unlimited access to member-only resources on our website, including videos of art demonstrations by nationally recognized watercolorists.

Helping Others

The Society donates a merit-based scholarship to a graduating high-school artist pursuing art education.

Social Time

The Society offers opportunities to socialize with a friendly group of like-minded artists and art enthusiasts!

Membership Dues

1st time and renewing annual dues: $50     There are two ways to pay:

1) You can pay your dues conveniently by credit card by completing the online form below.

2) or, you can pay by check.  Your dues check must accompany a Member Sign-up Form.  Please make check or money order payable to the “Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society” and mail to Starr Shebesta, GCWS Treasurer, at 6249 Stewart Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45227.
