GCWS Member Meeting - September 2023

At our September meeting, members met at ARTclectic Gallery and enjoyed an video-conferenced artist demonstration by Rick Anderson, a nationally acclaimed professional artist whose career has spanned more than 45 years.

Rick began his presentation with a slideshow of artwork he created decades ago to show how his style has demonstrably changed over the years.  Early in his career, his artistic style was highly realistic, detailed, and "tight" and his medium tended to be charcoal and/or colored pencil.  Later, he discovered watercolor and developed a looser technique.  Rick demonstrated his loose and flowing style of painting for us and created a beautiful landscape in less than an hour!

It was a fascinating presentation and we can't thank Rick enough for sharing his insights with us!
