A Framing Presentation by Plaza Art

Our October member meeting will include an informative session on artwork framing.  Heather Stormer of Plaza Art will speak to us of the importance of framing and the difference it can make to the presentation of your prized  masterpieces! 

She will show several examples of recent framing trends that are specifically designed for watercolors.  She will discuss the pros and cons of framing yourself vs using a professional custom framing service. She will also explain the variety of glass choices currently available. 

Heather is an artist herself and works in a variety of media, including watercolor. She will share how she has learned the hard way how important presentation is, especially when working with galleries.  She speaks from experience as she has been a framer for 19 years, the first 8 years of which she worked in restoration and conservation. 

GCWS member meetings typically consist of a time to socialize before a brief business meeting, followed by an artist demonstration, member "show and tell", open studio, or special art excursion.
