GCWS President Sue Kinsella opened the meeting, and summarized upcoming events.

Several members have been juried into regional exhibitions.  Adele DiMinno, Angela Mascolino, and Keith Shebesta were in the Pollinators Project at The Barn, February 22 - March 2. Adele DiMinno and Marcia Hartsock have been accepted into Kentucky Watercolor Society Aquaventure 2026 in Lexington, KY, March 2 - May 8.  Angela Mascolino is included in the Clifton Cultural Arts Center New Woman exhibit running March 6 - April 3. Congratulations to all the exhibitors!

Members were treated to a live art demonstration by watercolorist, Ed Kitchen! Ed Kitchen is an Ohio-based watercolor artist known for capturing local history, particularly of Lancaster, Ohio, often featuring nostalgic scenes with family or familiar landmarks, and continues a family artistic tradition alongside his folk artist grandmother, Tella Kitchen. .  He is a Signature Member of the Ohio Watercolor Society.  His work, displayed in local shows and online, focuses on memory and the charm of small-town Ohio, with pieces depicting past parades and vintage businesses. 

Ed was a delightful presenter, full of anecdotes of his life as a professional artist, as well as tips and tricks of watercolor painting.
