The Benefits of Membership!
Monthly Member Meetings
Our member meetings take place alternatively Wednesday and Saturday throughout the year at our Meeting Place. These gatherings offer a chance to socialize, followed by a brief business meeting and then an engaging activity such as an artist demonstration, art critique, educational program, painting session, or art excursion. For full details, check out our Calendar of Events!
Exhibitions
Each year, the Society holds a members-only exhibition judged by a distinguished artist or art educator. Cash prizes, merchandise awards, and honorable mentions are awarded.
Workshops
The Society hosts in-person watercolor workshops taught by nationally renowned watercolorists, typically twice a year. GCWS members are eligible for exclusive discounts on workshop tuition. Upcoming scheduled workshops are listed on our Calendar of Events.
Showcasing Member Artwork
Artworks of our Annual Show top winners are displayed on our website with links to their personal websites or social media profiles. Posts featuring members' artworks are regularly made to our social media pages, on Facebook and Instagram.
Communications and Resources
As a member, you can stay connected to what's going on by receiving regular updates about upcoming events, exhibitions, and activities. You also have access to member-exclusive resources, including a video library of art demonstrations by renowned watercolorists.
Giving Back
The Society proudly awards a merit-based scholarship to a graduating high school student pursuing a degree in art education.
Social Opportunities
Join a vibrant community of fellow artists and art lovers. Our meetings, including an annual member banquet, provide opportunities galore to connect, collaborate, and socialize!
